I started my drive to work this morning with a uniform 2" layer of snow on the hood of the truck.
The airflow swept a bunch away and the engine heat melted some off, leaving this pattern.

Thats pretty cool considering that truck has the aerodynamics of a greyhound bus.
That's the difficulty with automotive analogies: they don't really work on cars.

I dunno. The aerodynamics of a parachute seem like a good thing.
Whereas the aerodynamics of the truck are more like a 12mpg thing.
